Auto Steering Defects Checklist
- If the steering wheel has detached from its column, store it in a safe place where it won’t be touched or changed. It should remain this way until it can be examined by an expert.
- If an accident or crash has occurred, preserve the vehicle and all evidence at the scene of the accident.
- If possible, get the names and contact information of any witnesses.
- To prove that a steering defect caused the accident, you will likely have to retain an expert qualified in the field so that the vehicle can be inspected and analyzed.
